Dr Davidson JR is a seasoned poet, writer, and a critic. He is the author of the positive thinking books You Will Surely Triumph and Whatever You Do Will prosper. Equally interested in Tamil, one of the oldest classical languages of the World, and in The Holy Bible, he has authored two books, Tamil and the Bible and The Wonderful Bible.
As a translator he has translated some well-known books of famous writers from English to Tamil. Some of them to mention are: Be Basic and Be Hopeful by the famous Bible interpreter and author Warren W. Wiersbe, Gazing Eastwards and The Past as Present by the well-known historian Romila Thapar.
Dr Davidson JR holds a Ph.D. in Tamil Language and Literature from the University of Delhi, New Delhi.
He has translated more than 200 articles in the field of medical sciences for the National Health Portal, New Delhi and his interest in translation is widespread in the corporate sector as well. He has also done translations for the the Department of East Asian Studies, Delhi University.
His fervour in “the untranslatable” Milton’s Paradise Lost resulted in the translation of the first two books of the great epic poem into Tamil.

His dream of writing an epic poem in Tamil has been now fulfilled after 23 years of aspiration and perspiration and the fruit of labour is a massive epic poem comprising of 7 cantos with several thousand lines. It is in the form of allegory and discusses the problems of the contemporary world under an imagined historical setting. These cantos will be in print soon.

மொழிபெயர்ப்பைத் தம் வாழ்க்கைத் தொழிலாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட ஆசிரியர், பல புகழ்பெற்ற ஆசிரியர்களின் நூல்களைத் தமிழாக்கம் செய்துள்ளார். மிகச் சிறந்த வேத ஆராய்ச்சியாளரான வாரன் வியர்ஸ்பேயின் Be Basic, Be Hopeful என்ற நூல்களை அடிப்படை உள்ளவனாயிரு, நம்பிக்கை உள்ளவனாயிரு என்ற தலைப்புகளிலும், உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற வரலாற்றெழுதியல் ஆசிரியர் பேராசிரியர் ரொமிலா தாப்பரின் Gazing Eastwards என்ற நூலை புத்தமதத்துறவிகள் என்ற தலைப்பிலும் மொழிபெயர்த்துள்ளார்.
முனைவர் டேவிட்சன் ஜேஆர் தில்லிப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் தமிழில் முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்றவர்.
புதுதில்லி தேசிய சுகாதார இணையதளத்துக்காக இருநூறுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட மருத்துவ ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகளை மொழி பெயர்த்திருப்பதோடு பெருநிறுவனத் துறையில் தொழில்முறை மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளராகப் பணிபுரிகிறார். புதுதில்லி கிழக்காசிய ஆய்வுகள் துறைக்குப் பல மொழிபெயர்ப்புகளைச் செய்துள்ளார்.
மொழிபெயர்க்க முடியாதவன் என்று பெயர் பெற்ற மில்ட்டனின் இழந்த சொர்க்கம் காப்பியத்தின் இரண்டு நூல்களை மொழிபெயர்த்துள்ளார்.
